Monti and Mason are Martina and Jack, a married photography and filmmaking duo based in Rome.

They both studied film, and Martina also comes from fashion photography, which is why the stills and the moving work share the same eye. They met in Cape Town in 2013 and married in 2018, and being married themselves gives them an understanding of what a wedding day actually means, which shows in the restraint of the work. Their approach is documentary, candid and unposed, with gentle direction only where it helps. They"re drawn to film, shooting 35mm alongside Super 8 and Super 16.

We love them for couples who want photography and film from one pair, with real film in the mix rather than a digital imitation of it.

Good to know: Martina and Jack relocated to Italy in 2023 and have since filmed across Tuscany, Ibiza and Cape Town.
